Hydrogen Fuel Station, Inc. (HFS) announces funding available for a hydrogen station in the Sacramento area.
HFS, the owner and operator of the hydrogen fueling station at CaFCP’s headquarters in West Sacramento, intends to award funds to support a new hydrogen station in the Sacramento area. The station must be “retail-ready,” which is defined as:
- Publically accessible—open access for all OEM-built fuel cell vehicles
- Extended business hours—open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, allowing for fueling at night and on the weekend
- Prepared for retail sales—has or can incorporate mechanisms for selling hydrogen as a retail fuel
The station must have state-of-the-art technology, offer two fuel pressures (70 and 35 MPa) and provide transparent access for regulatory and codes and standards organizations, including the Division of Measurement Standards. The station will also host frequent visitors and media locally and from around the world.
HFS will provide funding to a qualified partner or team that will build, own and operate a hydrogen station in the Sacramento area. HFS will not own nor operate the station. Qualified entities are those that:
- Have previous experience building, owning or operating a hydrogen fueling station
- Have been in business for a minimum of five years
- Are legal entities with all required insurance and licenses
- Are eligible and capable of either providing or obtaining additional funding sufficient to fully fund the project
- Can complete a proposal within the required timeframe
If you are interested in this opportunity, please email info@h2fsinc.com to receive the complete funding announcement. Letters of Interest in response to the funding announcement are due to HFS by 5:00 pm (PST) March 22, 2010.
